Support groups offered for stroke survivors


Brain Injury Center of Ventura County offers support groups for brain injury and stroke survivors and their family and caregivers.

Participants can learn about brain injury/stroke and available services as well as meet others who are facing or have faced similar challenges.

Attendees can meet new friends, make connections, and give and receive support.

•In Camarillo the group meets from 4 to 5 p.m. the first and third Wednesdays of the month at AlmaVia of Camarillo, 2500 N. Ponderosa Drive.

•In Oxnard: A group for English speakers meets from 2 to 3:30 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at St. John’s Hospital, Kate’s Landing 1 room, 1600 N Rose Ave.

Para española: 2-3:30 p.m. 1er y 3er miércoles de cada mes.

•In the Conejo Valley the meetings are from 2:30 to 4 p.m. every Wednesday at Los Robles Hospital East Campus, cafeteria conference room, 150 Via Merida, Westlake Village.

•In Simi Valley: 1:30 to 3 p.m. the second and fourth Saturdays of the month at Adventist Health hospital, cafe conference room, 2975 Sycamore Drive.
