Exhibit to focus on life’s innocence

SPA by Diane Loring Inc. will display 27 watercolor paintings by local psychologist Priscilla Partridge de Garcia through July 31 at the Historic Love House, 119 S. Figueroa St., Ventura.

An artist reception will be hosted from 6 to 9 p.m. Fri., March 16 at the gallery.

The exhibit, “A Celebration of Moments: a Joyful Look at the Innocence of Life,” is the first time Partridge de Garcia’s watercolors have been shown on the West Coast. The works took more than 10 years of painting and creative exploration.

Partridge de Garcia said of her art, “These are vibrant, happy paintings that celebrate the joy in moments that we normally think of as ordinary or innocent.”

Partridge de Garcia will also be the featured artist at SPA by Diane Loring Inc. during Ventura’s ArtWalk on April 28.

A portion of the proceeds from all of the painter’s art sales will benefit Casa Pacifica.

Partridge de Garcia is a California native who is studying art with Tennessee artist Gail McDaniel. She currently lives in Brentwood, Tenn., and maintains a practice there as well as in Ventura.
