Dates for upcoming celebrations

Oxnard Union High School District is honoring its 3,600 graduating seniors with yard signs, a graduation video and celebrations incorporating social distancing. The specifics of those celebrations were left up to the administrators of the district’s 10 high schools.

Leaders at Rio Mesa and Adolfo Camarillo high schools recently announced their plans for graduation. Similar to Rancho Campana High School, the two schools are opening their campuses for students to walk across a stage in their cap and gown and pose for a photo. Families are also welcome, according to school leaders, and students will enter the school in small groups to encourage social distancing.

The Rio Mesa photo op will be held in the quad area from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. June 8 through 11. The Camarillo High photo op was held in the school’s gym June 2 and 3.

Camarillo High will also hold a drive-thru diploma pickup from 3 to 6 p.m. Fri., June 12.
