Chamber uses new technology to better serve members and Camarillo community

Camarillo Chamber of Commerce introduces the use of QR Codes in print publications as well as other new programs in upcoming months

One can’t help but notice those weird squiggly line things that are pasted on everything from magazine ads to ketchup bottles, but what exactly are QR Codes and what are they supposed to do?

A QR (or Quick Response) Code is a two-dimensional code similar to the bar codes used to store information about products found in the store. The difference is that a QR Code stores much more information than a bar code and thus can be used in a variety of ways.

The Camarillo Chamber has recently adopted the use of QR Codes to help direct people to various services offered to members and the community. In this issue of The Connection, readers will find QR codes leading them to the Chamber’s main webpage, the Business Directory and the What’s New section of the website.

“We are doing our very best to deliver the latest in all technological advances to ensure our members get the most out of their investment,” said Chamber Marketing Director Lara Shapiro- Snair. “Stay tuned for even more fun and informative things to come in the future!”
