Family members and police on Wednesday confirmed that the body of a missing 20-year-old Camarillo resident has been found not far from the person’s home.
No foul play is suspected in the death of Kaydian Shipley, who went missing Jan. 2 and was last seen walking in the 100 block of Calle La Sombre in Camarillo, Detective Mitchell Peterson of the Camarillo Police Department said.
A news release issued Jan. 6 by Camarillo police said Shipley was legally blind.
Shipley’s body was found at around 8 p.m. Sat., Jan. 11, in a storm wash on a hillside about six blocks from Shipley’s home, the family said in a GoFundMe posting.
Shipley’s family is seeking donations for a funeral in Idaho.

A candlelight vigil to honor Shipley has been planned for Fri., Jan. 31 at 4:45 p.m. at Nancy Bush Park, 1150 Bradford Ave., in Camarillo.
