OPEN ready to help job-seekers

The Outstanding Professionals Employment Network (OPEN) aims to assist in reducing the unemployment duration for professional job seekers.

The organization in Ventura County conducts free five-day workshops every six to eight weeks. The workshops are a boot camp for job seekers, covering basic resume writing, interview skills and the importance of networking.

OPEN is a chapter of Experience Unlimited, sponsored by the Employment Development Department and operated through selected American’s Jobs Center of California.

An Express Employment Professionals staff member recently gave a presentation to the OPEN members titled “The Importance of Key Words on a Resume” and how to quantify an applicant’s work history.

This is the third time Express has presented at one of OPEN’s training sessions.

Express offers assistance to the OPEN members beyond the training sessions. Staffing consultants review resumes and assist the members in their job search.

In addition, Express strives to help as many people as possible find good jobs by helping as many clients as possible find good people.

The Ventura County Express Employment Professionals of come fices began operation in 2006 to serve employers with temporary help and direct-hire employees in a variety of fields.
