Ranch sets festival

The 13th annual Rebozo Festival will take place Sun., May 21 at the Camarillo Ranch, 201 Camarillo Ranch Road, Camarillo.

The event will feature Mexican brunch, mariachi music, a fashion show, silent and live auctions as well as a tiendita (shop) and cantina.

Formed in 2005 by volunteers called Las Madrinas (the Godmothers), the Rebozo Festival raises funds for Ventura County nonprofits that focus on cultural, social and educational needs of the community. The event uses the colorful Mexican rebozo (shawl) as its theme.

The Honorary Madrina for this year’s event for her support of the festival will be Connie Owens, community development and institutional advancement specialist at the Ventura County Community College District.
