Victim suffers minor stab wounds during robbery

Ventura County sheriff’s deputies responding to a report of a robbery at a Camarillo market Sunday night discovered a man inside the store with minor stab wounds.

The unidentified victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Capt. Eric Tennessen of the Camarillo Police Department.

Deputies went to the Centro Market in the 200 block of N. Glenn Drive shortly before 10 p.m. May 14 and found the victim. It was not immediately known if the victim was an employee at the market or whether anything was stolen.

Deputies brought in a police dog to search for the robber, but no arrests were made.

Police are still investigating.
