Noontime Optimists honor fifth-grader
APPRECIATED—Glen McClellan, a fifth-grade student from Camarillo Heights Elementary School, was recognized by the Camarillo Noontime Optimist Club as the “Youth We Appreciate” during the service organization’s regular meeting on March 26 in Camarillo. Glen, 11, was described by his teacher, Cyndee Jenkins, at right, as a well-mannered, kind student with a good sense of humor. As an academic role model he was in the school spelling bee, a double winner in the Camarillo Academic Olympics and a Super Quiz team member in the CAO for the school competition finals. He is a member of the Boy Scouts and is active at his church.
