TALENT AND TRADITION— Above, Agape Dancers from St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church of Camarillo, from left, Adam Sanderson, 11, Kiveli Pandelidis, 10, Harrison Kyriacou, 11, Natalie Joannou, 9, and Jacob Kyriacou, 10, perform a traditional Greek dance at the 33rd annual Ventura County Greek Festival on June 25 at the church at the Camarillo Airport. Event organizers said that although final attendance numbers have yet to be tallied, as many as 10,000 attended the three-day festival that included food, dance, live music, games and family acitivies. The event is a fundraiser for the local Greek Orthodox church, which is saving money to build a new church and two other buildings on a 4-acre property near Santa Rosa and Woodcreek roads. Inset, Camarillo residents Brittany Gonzales, left, and her father, Mark Torres, purchase some traditional Greek sweets served by St. Demetrios volunteer Christina Crostic.
