Says neighbors are acting like ‘hooded devils’

I have had my front yard vandalized twice. Yes, I call it vandalism. To me it is a disturbance of the peace. It is a disturbance of my peace, and isn’t that just what this action was intended to do?

Everyone else may think that it is cute that someone else’s has been toilet papered, and everyone always assumes it is just kids; however, I do not think it cute, nor innocent.

My property is my person, and my property has been defiled. I have lived here a long time: In fact, I have been here 26 years. I have been through many things, and I am not as spry as I once was. My lawn cannot get the attention it once did. However, as I look around the neighborhood, my lawn looks no worse than some others do. Now it has all the attention that it needs.

I have heard from other neighbors that they too have had some problems and no one has had the courtesy to contact them face to face either. Hard times are upon us all. However, that is no excuse for some to take matters into their own hands and act like hooded devils. I can tell you this, I feel that there will come a time in the near future that we may need each other and we had better be about building those bridges right now.

The world is round for a reason. There is not a culture in the world that does not have a proverb of some kind that says: “Whatever you send out into the world, it always has a way of coming back to you.”
