Health hotline celebrates anniversary


ESSENTIAL SERVICES—Claudia Harrison, executive director of First 5 Ventura County, talks about 211 Ventura County, a free, confidential referral hotline that gives callers information on health and human services in their local community. Harrison’s speech was part of a sixth anniversary breakfast celebration for the phone service at the Ventura County Office of Education in Camarillo on Feb 10. The phone line is a collaboration between Interface Children and Family Services, United Way and First 5 to provide information about health services that are easily accessible and available for free or at low cost.
