PONY baseball hits a homerun



PLAY BALL—The Camarillo PONY Baseball Association donated $180,0000 to the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District for the construction of three new baseball diamonds at Freedom Park during the district’s board meeting Feb. 2 in Camarillo. Those in attendance included, in front, Duncan Addison, incoming league president, and in back from left, park district board member Mark Malloy; Jeff Wolfrey, league publicist; Patty Hamm, park district board member; Rene Randel, league treasurer; Paul Rockenstein, park district board chair; Kathleen Zurawick, league secretary; and Elaine Magner and Bob Kelley, both park district board members. The park district officials said they are accepting bid proposals for construction of the project and expect to break ground before summer.
