Chamber announces its outstanding Top 10
Each year the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce recognizes 10 outstanding individuals and organizations that have contributed to the betterment of the Camarillo community.
Nominations are received from the community and a committee selects the award recipients.
The winners will be honored at the 44th annual Top Ten Banquet scheduled for March 26 at Spanish Hills Country Club. The recipients were announced at the Camarillo City Council meeting on Jan. 26.
Following are the winners.
Man of the Year: David Smith, president/CEO, United Way of Ventura County
Woman of the Year: Yvonne Parker, Camarillo Hospice
Business of the Year: Zindagi Games
Entrepreneur of the Year: Shawn Mulchay, Socialmash Media
Youth of the Year: Juanita Wooten
Volunteer of the Year: Michail J. Brown
Senior of the Year: Janet Ackerman
Public Servant of the Year: Jeff Gorell, state assemblyman
Educator of the Year: Denice Bell, resource specialist for Dos Caminos Elementary School
Service Organization of the Year: Meadowlark Service League
