Southern California Edison will help its residential customers “follow the sun” with a free class on the California Solar Initiative program and the incentives it offers to homeowners who decide to install solar systems on their homes.

The program will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tues., June 15 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Scherr Forum Theatre, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Customers will learn about solar energy basics, benefits of installing a solar energy system, tax credits and other financial models that can help reduce upfront costs, and financial incentives through the CSI program.

The class is nontechnical and easy to understand.

The program is free but requires registration because space is limited.
