Sometime between Jan. 24 and 25, vandals caused about $100 in damage to property in the 600 block of Mobil Avenue. It was reported Jan. 25 that a catalytic converter was stolen off a truck parked in the 700 block of E. Ventura Boulevard on Jan. 23. A con artist passed four fake $100 traveler’s checks at four different stores in the 700 block of E. Ventura Boulevard on Jan. 25. A home in the 1700 block of Marsala Way was burglarized Jan. 25 sometime between 1 and 2:50 p.m. The homeowners reported $2,400 in stolen property. Sometime between Jan. 25 and 26, vandals caused more than $400 in damage by etching a mirror and a wall at the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo, 1500 Temple Ave. About $300 in merchandise was stolen from the Ugg Boot Company, 740 E. Ventura Blvd., on Jan. 26. The store was also robbed Jan. 31. In the later incident, $500 in merchandise was stolen and the shoplifter threatened a store employee who attempted to stop the thief from leaving the store. A $500 laptop computer was stolen from a desk of a business in the 300 block of Arneill Road on Jan. 26. A 14-year-old boy was arrested Jan. 26 at Gateway School, 200 Horizon Way, for allegedly defacing a school bus with a permanent marker. Sometime between Jan. 26 and 27, a $3,000 laptop computer was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the parking lot of Wellpoint, 5151 Camino Ruiz. A car stereo was stolen from a car parked in the 200 block of W. Ventura Boulevard on Jan. 27. About $1,575 in property was stolen from an unlocked garage in the 3200 block of Stiles Avenue on Jan. 27 sometime between 8 a.m. and noon. A 22-year-old man was arrested Jan. 27 on the 101 Freeway near the Pleasant Valley Road interchange for allegedly driving with a suspended license, the result of an earlier conviction for drunk driving. A 21-year-old man was arrested Jan. 27 near Lewis Road and E. Elma Street for allegedly driving with a suspended license, the result of an earlier conviction for drunk driving. An 18-year-old man was arrested Jan. 27 near Santo Domingo and Avenida Acaso for allegedly selling prescription marijuana in exchange for prescribed medication. Sometime between Jan. 27 and 28, a box of T-shirts and various tools were stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 1200 block of Red Oaks Place. About $185 in tools were stolen from an unlocked toolbox kept in a car parked in the 1300 block of Sevilla Street sometime between Jan. 27 and 28. Four shoplifters stole $800 in merchandise from the Kmart store, 940 Arneill Road, on Jan. 28. It was reported Jan. 28 that sometime between Jan. 18 and 28, a $630 stereo was stolen out of a car parked in the 700 block of Paseo Camarillo. A 22-year-old woman was arrested Jan. 28 in the 100 block of Mobil Avenue on charges of driving a stolen car and possession of drugs. A wallet was stolen from a purse hanging in an office cubicle in the 5100 block of Verdugo Way on Jan. 28. A vandal used a rock to smash two windows of a car parked in the 2000 block of Santo Domingo on Jan. 28. Two cars parked in the 1900 block of S. Lewis Road were burglarized Jan. 29. An undisclosed amount of property was stolen. A burglar attempted to break into a home in the 5100 block of Colony Drive on Jan. 29 sometime between 10:30 and 11 a.m. Nothing was reported stolen. A car parked in the 700 block of Mobil Avenue was burglarized Jan. 29. A reported $300 in property was stolen. A car parked in the 100 block of Bramble Court was burglarized Jan. 29. A reported $330 in property was stolen. Sometime between Jan. 29 and 30, a bicycle was stolen in the 600 block of Paseo Lunar. A car was set on fire in the 1800 block of Edgemont Drive on Jan. 30. Another car was also set on fire in the 1800 block of Hobart Drive on the same day. No one was injured in either incident. An 18-year-old man was arrested Jan. 30 for allegedly causing $1,000 in damage by driving his truck on a baseball field in the 5500 block of Mission Oaks Boulevard. A 16-year-old boy was arrested Jan. 31 in the 800 block of Rosewood Avenue for allegedly punching a 27year-old man in the mouth. Sometime between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 more than $500 in property was stolen from the Nakano Nursery, 2900 Groves Place in Somis. A car stereo was stolen from a car parked near Fifth Street and Pleasant Valley Road on Feb. 1. Between Jan. 25 and 31, police reported arresting three people on suspicion of driving without a license or driving with a suspended license. During that same time period, 10 people were arrested and charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, 14 people were arrested on various drug charges, and one person was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public. |
