Students put on their thinking caps
      A team from Adolfo Camarillo High School will compete in the Super Quiz portion of the 2010 Ventura County Academic Decathlon from 3 to 5 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 6, at Pacifica High School, 600 E. Gonzales Road, Oxnard. The Super Quiz is the only portion of the annual academic competition that is open to the public.

Writer’s Club to meet
      Local author Margaret Brownley will be the featured speaker for the Ventura County Writers Club at 7 p.m. Tues., Feb. 9 at Borders bookstore, 125 W. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks. Brownley has written more than 23 published books in a variety of genres and more than 400 articles for different magazines.

Shakespeare returns to the park
      The 14th season of the Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival will feature performances of “The Comedy of Errors” and “The Winter’s Tale” at Kingsmen Park at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. “The Comedy of Errors” will be performed July 1 to 3, July 9 to 11 and July 16 to 18.
