Story Circle to meet

The Story Circle Network, a notfor-profit organization dedicated to helping women share the stories of their lives, will meet for six weeks in Camarillo from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays, starting Feb. 16, and from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, starting Feb. 17.

The Story Circle will be organized by author, memoirist and writing coach Nancy Rigg, who has been leading online Story Circle writing groups since 2003. 

The Camarillo Story Circle group will be open to all women but limited to 10 members in each group to allow time for all to share.

An initial membership fee of $60 is requested; sliding-scale scholarships are available. 

If the groups want to continue after the six-week trial period, bimonthly meetings will be scheduled. 

The Story Circle Network was founded in 1997 in Austin, Texas, by Susan Wittig Albert, author of “Together, Alone: A Memoir of Marriage and Place.”
