Free yoga classes offered for people with cance

The Ventura Satellite of the Wellness Community Valley/ Ventura and Community Memorial Hospital's Cancer Resource Center will offer weekly yoga for people affected by cancer from 4 to 5:30 p.m. every Tuesday beginning Jan. 6 at the Community Memorial Hospital Cancer Resource Center, 184 N. Brent St., Ventura.

Instructor Tami Robinson began practicing yoga 30 years ago and started teaching alignment-based yoga in 2006. Robinson provides an appropriate level of instruction with props, adjustments, therapeutics and philosophy.

She teaches regular classes at Ventura Yoga Studio and YogaWorks in Westlake Village.

The program is free to those with cancer, cancer survivors and loved ones. To sign up, call (805) 708-0656.
