Charity dinner
      The Boys & Girls Club of Ventura will present its 42nd annual Great Auction, “Step Up for Kids, Our Stars of Tomorrow,” at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow, Nov. 21 at the Ventura Beach Marriott. The black-tie optional event includes a champagne reception, live and silent auctions and a gourmet dinner.

Christmas concert
      The Camarillo Community Band, sponsored by Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District, will present its annual Christmas concert at 3 p.m. Sun., Dec. 13 in the Camarillo Community Center Auditorium, corner of Carmen and Burnley. The band will perform holiday favorites and guests can sing along. Santa Claus will make a guest appearance at the free event.

Studio Channel Island Art Center celebrates new location
      Studio Channel Islands Art Center will open its new gallery from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Nov. 20 at 2221 Ventura Blvd., in Old Town Camarillo. The grand opening exhibition “New Beginnings” is open to all Ventura County artists. Sylvia White will be the juror for this “Call For Entries” exhibition.
