Foundation awards $25,000 to Camarillo youth club
      The Camarillo Boys & Girls Club recently received a grant for almost $25,000 from the Verizon Foundation to continue a computer program that enhances classroom learning for club members. The foundation, Verizon Communications’ philanthropic arm, awarded $24,500 to the club on Nov. 4 to pay for operating expenses and Thinkfinity mentors.

High school booster club to host Casino Night
Fundraiser to benefit sports teams
      The Adolfo Camarillo High School Athletic Booster Club will sponsor its inaugural Casino Night fundraiser on Nov. 21 at the Spanish Hills Country Club. The event will have a variety of casino games, food and live music. All members of the community are invited. Casino Night is the booster club’s major fall fundraiser for student athletes.
