Camarillo among four local cities that lost out on funding to help prevent homelessness
      The cities of Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley and Ventura have missed out on hundreds of thousands of dollars for homeless prevention due to what state housing officials say was an application error.

Free physician examinations
      The Women’s Resource Center of the Conejo Valley is offering free physical exams for women and men two days each month, with morning and evening appointments available. The exams are thorough physicals. The women’s physicals include breast exams and Pap tests. All exams are performed by a licensed physician’s assistant.

PONY baseball registration now open
      Camarillo PONY Baseball inperson registration for ages 5 to 19 will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thurs., Nov. 19 at the Camarillo Community Center. All players ages 7 to 14 must attend the skills rating at the baseball fields at Temple Avenue and Ponderosa Drive on one of the following dates: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Jan. 9; 1 to 5 p.m. Sun., Jan. 10, or 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Jan. 16.

Moose to serve turkey
