T.O. Man found dead inside burning car
      A Thousand Oaks man committed suicide Tuesday near Camarillo, authorities said. Deputies found Bruce Czernek, 50, in a burning parked car at 1:30 a.m., Tues., Nov. 3 on Fifth Street, half a mile south of Pleasant Valley Road, in the county’s unincorporated area just outside Camarillo, said Sgt. Dave Murray of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.

Calling all builders
      The first LEGO League Robotics Roundup Tournament, sponsored by the Pleasant Valley Education Foundation, will take place tomorrow, Nov. 7 at the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo. Twenty-six robotics teams from Ventura County and beyond will compete. Opening ceremonies begin at 11 a.m. Judging and competition follow from 11:30 until late afternoon.

An evening of wine, wings at aircraft museum
      Commemorative Air Force will host its inaugural Wine and Wings of Ventura County wine and food tasting fundraiser from 3 to 7 p.m. Sat., Nov. 14 at the CAF WWII Aircraft Museum, Camarillo Airport.  Local wineries will provide fine wines for tasting. Chef Tim Kilcoyne of Sidecar Restaurant in Ventura will provide the appetizers to pair with the wines.
