It was reported Aug. 10 that sometime between Aug. 5 and 6, an iPod was stolen from an office in the 5100 block of Camino Ruiz.
Sometime between Aug. 10 and 11, the garage of a home in the 1600 block of Avenida Del Manzano was burglarized. The victim reported $300 in stolen property.
A 19-year-old male reported he was robbed at gunpoint on Aug. 11 around 5:15 p.m. on Charter Oak Drive at Charter Oak Park by three assailants—two of whom were known to the victim. Police are investigating the incident but believe the victim may have been involved in a drug deal gone wrong.
A 29-year-old man was cited and released Aug. 11 near Ventura Boulevard and Fir Street for allegedly driving a car without a breathalyzer device needed to start the vehicle. The man is required to only drive cars with a locking device.
Vandals caused about $100 in damage to property in the 700 block of Mardigras Court.
A 35-year-old man was arrested Aug. 12 on charges of petty theft for allegedly shoplifting from the Kmart store, 940 Arneill Road.
A 22-year-old man was arrested Aug. 13 in the 1500 block of Hillridge Drive and charged with possession of syringes and heroin, breaking the rules of his probation.
A vandal smashed the window of a car parked in the 700 block of Paseo Camarillo. The victim reported $250 in damage.
A thief stole an undisclosed amount of property from an unlocked locker at 24 Hour Fitness, 453 Carmen Drive, on Aug. 13.
It was reported Aug. 13 that sometime between Aug. 7 and 10, vandals used spray paint to cause more than $400 in damage to a business in the 4600 block of Calle Carga.
Sometime between Aug. 13 and 14, a vandal caused more than $400 in damage to the Camarillo Library, 4101 Las Posas Road, by carving graffiti in the men’s bathroom.
A purse was stolen Aug. 14 in the 90 block of E. Daily Drive. The victim reported less than $400 in stolen property.
A 26-year-old man was arrested Aug. 14 in the 900 block of Camarillo Center Drive for allegedly cashing a fake check at a business in the 700 block of Arneill Road. A 20-year-old man was also arrested on felony forgery charges.
A water meter valued at more than $200 was stolen from a property in the 3400 block of Rockhampton Drive on Aug. 14.
A 29-year-old woman was arrested Aug. 15 in the 2300 block of E. Ventura Boulevard on multiple charges, including drunken driving, child endangerment and driving with a suspended license.
It was reported Aug. 15 that a home in the 1600 block of San Rafael Way was burglarized sometime between Aug. 1 and 9. The victim reported $330 in stolen property.
Less than $400 in property was stolen from a car parked in the 800 block of Duvall Avenue sometime between Aug. 15 and 16.
Vandals used spray paint to cause more than $400 in damage to a property in the 800 block of Verdulera Street sometime between Aug. 15 and 17.
A 23-year-old man was arrested Aug. 16 at a motel in the 1600 block of E. Daily Drive and charged with possession of drugs, a violation of his probation.
Less than $400 in property was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 500 block of Town Forest Court sometime between Aug. 16 and 17.
Vandals caused less than $400 in damage to a teen rehabilitation center in the 2800 block of E. Landen Street on Aug. 17.
Vandals caused more than $400 in damage to city-owned property near Carmen Drive and Sevilla Street on Aug. 17.
Between Aug. 11 and 17, police reported arresting four people on suspicion of driving without a license or driving with a suspended license. During that same time period, five people were arrested and charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, 12 people were arrested on various drug charges, and one was arrested for allegedly being drunk in public.
