Gridiron impact report: Rio Mesa Spartans
      Coaches and teammates marveled at the wide receiver. During a 7on7 passing tournament this summer, Jamison Jordan burned three different cornerbacks for long receptions. “He was putting on a clinic,” said Bob Gregorchuk, Rio Mesa’s football head coach. The Spartans hope Jordan will continue to dazzle in the fall.

Softball leagues start soo
      The Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District is offering men’s and coed softball leagues this fall. This 10-week league starts Sept. 8 and goes through Nov. 13. Men’s leagues are offered Monday through Thursday nights and coed leagues are offered on Friday nights and Sunday evenings.
