Loss of program for frail adults could put pressure on nursing facilities
Ventura County Area Agency on Aging will lose $326,000 in state funding
      Endya Wallace choked back tears when she talked about losing the services of social worker Rebecca Sexauer, a case manager with the Linkages program. “God knows, if I lose Becky I don’t know what I’ll do,” said Wallace, 55. “She keeps me sane.”

What the cuts mean
      State funding cuts of $326,140 to the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging mean a loss to the following programs:  •Alzheimer’s Day Care Resource Center at Senior Concerns in Thousand Oaks: $68,485 •FOOD Share’s Brown Bag Program, which delivers food to seniors via 32 sites throughout the county: $20,661
