Sometime between July 13 and 14, a vandal caused $50 in damage to property in the 5300 block of Villa Mallorca Place.

Vandals caused more than $400 in damage by spray painting on the side of Rocket Fizz soda shop, 2619 E. Ventura Blvd., sometime between July 13 and 14.

It was reported July 14 that between Oct. 28, 2008, and July 5, someone wrote bad checks in the name of Meathead Movers, 412 Calle San Pablo, costing the company about $2,800.

A shoplifter stole less than $400 in merchandise from the Vons supermarket, 820 Arneill Road, on July 14.

A vandal smashed two windows of a car parked in the 2400 block of Barry Street on July 14.

It was reported July 14 that sometime between July 10 and 13, someone stole less than $400 in tools from the back of a handyman's truck in the 1500 block of Lexington Court.

It was reported July 14 that a 44year-old man was arrested by Camarillo police officers at the Thousand Oaks Police Station, 2101 E. Olsen Road, for allegedly molesting a child.

A 22-year-old man was arrested July 14 near Sweetwater Avenue and Truman Street for allegedly driving drunk and being involved in a hit-and-run accident.

Vandals caused about $100 in damage by spray painting the snack bar and electrical box at Mission Oaks Park, 5501 Mission Oaks Boulevard, sometime between July 14 and 15.

A would-be thief reportedly rummaged through an unlocked car parked in the 1100 block of Bordeaux Avenue sometime between July 14 and 15. Nothing was reported stolen.

A 20-year-old man is wanted on suspicion of causing about $400 in damage to a car parked in the 2100 block of Rocklyn Street on July 15.

A 39-year-old man was arrested July 15 near Daily Drive and Lewis Road for allegedly giving a police officer a fake name. According to reports, the man gave a false name, which turned out to be the name of a wanted person. The man then gave his real name because he did not want to be arrested for the warrant but was then arrested for giving the officer a false name.

A vandal threw a brick at a landscape light at a home in the 5600 block of Summerfield Street sometime between July 15 and 16. The vandal caused $200 in damage.

A vandal wrote on the walls of the Camarillo Library's restroom, 4101 Las Posas Road, sometime between July 15 and 16.

Sometime between July 15 and 16, a credit card and other personal items were stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 500 block of Calle Portilla. The thief then used the credit card to make about $900 in purchases.

A 20-year-old man was arrested July 16 in the 20 block of Gypsy Lane on felony charges of vandalism. He allegedly kicked the rear window of a Ventura County Sheriff's Department patrol car and caused $1,350 in damage.

A 30-year-old man was arrested July 16 in the 600 block of Lantana Drive on charges of domestic battery. He allegedly scratched the face of a 24-year-old woman.

Vandals caused nearly $400 in damage to property in the 300 block of Mira Flores Court on July 16.

A 24-year-old woman was arrested July 16 at the Kmart store, 940 Arneill Road, on misdemeanor charges of vandalism.

A wallet left unattended was stolen in the 300 block of Arneill Road on July 17. The thief used the victim's credit card. The victim reported a loss of $166.

Vandals smashed two windows of a car parked in the 2400 block of Barry Street on July 17. The victim reported $500 in damage.

Two men, ages 18 and 24, were arrested July 17 near Mobil Avenue and Pickwick Drive on drug charges and a charge of possession of a deadly weapon, a baseball bat, which police believe was used for protection.

Sometime between July 17 and 20, a vandal used a blade to cut into the wooden door of the bathroom at the Camarillo Library, 4101 Las Posas Road, and caused more than $400 in damage.

A 46-year-old man was arrested July 18 in the 700 block of Diamond Drive on charges of breaking a restraining order in the 2500 block of Villa Monte Court.

A 65-year-old woman is suspected of stealing from another woman in the 300 block of Arneill Road.

A $119 cellphone was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 2800 block of Dorman Street sometime between July 19 and 20.

Burglars broke into the locked garage of a home in the 4600 block of Donlon Road on July 19 and stole an undisclosed amount of property.

A vandal caused about $100 in damage by climbing on the roof of a property in the 300 block of Spring Park on July 21.

Between July 14 and 20, police reported arresting six people on suspicion of driving without a license or driving with a suspended license. During that same time period, three people were arrested and charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and eight people were arrested on various drug charges.
