3 suspected burglars arrested

Three Santa Paula residents were arrested on June 29 in the 5900 block of Palomar Circle in connection with an attempted burglary of a Camarillo home, police said.

Deputies with the Ventura County Sheriff's Department responded to a possible home burglary in progress around 11:30 a.m. June 29 on Palomar Circle, according to the Camarillo Police Department.

Upon arrival at the house, deputies reportedly saw Joey Moore, 32, and Jose Aguilar, 26, leaving the area. They were both stopped and arrested.

Deputies found that a screen on the home's rear sliding glass door had been pried open, according to reports.

Jessica Leal, 28, who was seen by police sitting in a car parked down the street from the home was also arrested. Police said Leal allegedly acted as lookout for the two men while they were in the home.

All three were subsequently booked at the Main Jail in Ventura for conspiracy, attempted burglary, and being under the influence of a controlled substance. They will appear back in court later this month, police records show.
