Summer concert series

Ventura Harbor Village presents the Sunday Summer Concert Series and the new Steel Drum Saturdays series.

Concerts will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays starting July 5 through Labor Day weekend on the Carousel Stage.

Admission and parking are free for visitors, and some seating is available. The lineup features:

July 5: The Phantom Riders, surf music

July 12: Mango, Caribbean sounds

July 19: Pirate Day with Steve Stafford's Strolling Pirate Musicians

July 26: Unkle Monkey, tropical, reggae and rock

Aug. 2: Chris Murphy Band, violin music

Aug. 9: Aubrey & Elan, pop and soft rock

Aug. 16: Sam Warren Spade & Company, eclectic pop and rock favorites

Aug. 23: Beach Bums, beach tunes

Aug. 30: Teresa Russell & Friends, blues, jazz and pop

Sept. 6: Upstream, Caribbean trio

Steel Drum Saturdays will be from 1 to 4 p.m. along the Village Promenade. A variety of steel drum artists will play popular songs set to the calypso and Caribbean influence.

Every Saturday in the summer will have a variety of free art projects for children in the Gallery from noon to 2 p.m. through Sept. 5.

Tourney to benefit hospital's NICU

Community Memorial Healthcare Foundation is accepting entries for its 12th annual NICU Golf Tournament on Fri., July 31, at Sterling Hills Golf Club in Camarillo, with proceeds benefiting Community Memorial Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Funds raised are used to offset the cost of the latest in equipment technology used to save the lives of infants.

In addition to golf, the tournament features lunch, prizes and awards. The tournament's format is four-person Texas Scramble. The field will be limited to 144 players. Registration begins at 11 a.m. with tee time at 1 p.m.

Open mic at cafe

The Camarillo Cafe will feature two singer/songwriters, Dave Morrison and Dan Reed, on Fri., July 17. Open mic starts at 8 p.m. and featured acts begin at 9 p.m.

The cafe, in the Camarillo Community Center, 1605 E. Burnley St., is a smoke and alcohol-free coffeehouse-style concert venue.

Admission is $10 at the door.
