Fireworks, children's activities at high school

Free shuttle service available for Fourth of July event

The 2009 Camarillo July 4 Fireworks Spectacular and Fun Day will take place tomorrow in the football stadium at Camarillo High School.

Gates will open at 4 p.m., and the fireworks program will begin at 9 p.m. Seating will be available in the main stands of the stadium and on the field.

The event will have live entertainment, bounce houses, glow sticks, children's activities, food, beverages and desserts.

The Pleasant Valley Lions Club will be selling Lion Burgers and hot dogs, and desserts will be sold by clubs and boosters from Camarillo High.

Presale tickets are available at City Hall at 601 Carmen Drive and the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District office at Carmen and Burnley streets. Tickets will also be available at the gate.

General admission is $2, free for children age 5 and younger. Proceeds will support the boosters and various Camarillo High School clubs.

Free parking and shuttle service will be available at the Metrolink Station and at Semtech beginning 4 p.m. Shuttles will run for about one hour after the conclusion of the show.

The Metrolink Station is at Lewis Road and Ventura Boulevard. Semtech is at Mission Oaks Blvd. and Flynn Road. Parking will also be available at the high school.
