Fundraiser is family affair
IN MEMORY—The Scott family, from left, Brooke, 21, Kathleen, Isabella, 8, and Rod, will host a fundraising event July 10 at Harley's Camarillo Bowl, 305 Arneill Road, to benefit the Hunter's Hope Foundation. The New York-based nonprofit started by NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly is dedicated to the early detection of and cure for Krabbe Leukodystrophy, a rare genetic disorder that attacks the nervous system. The Scotts host the annual fundraiser on the date of their daughter Jacque's birthday. Jacque was afflicted with the disorder and died in 2007 at age 4. The event will be from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m., and the cost is $10 per bowler. Price includes bowling, shoes, snacks and prizes. For details, call (805) 302-5761. Reservations are encouraged.
