Students learn about giving by doing
      For the third year in a row, the second-graders of Lang Ranch Elementary School in Thousand Oaks have raised money for library books for the children at Casa Pacifica. Casa Pacifica, located on a 23acre property in Camarillo, serves abused, neglected and severely emotionally disturbed children from the Tri-County area of Southern California.

Largest class in history graduates from Cal State Channel Islands
      California State University Channel Islands graduated its largest class to date with 1,129 students receiving degrees and credentials at the seventh annual commencement ceremony in May. The list includes 128 students receiving master's degrees, 101 students receiving teaching credentials, and 900 students earning bachelor's degrees.
