National association honors Ventura County women for business acumen

      A group of Ventura County women were honored by the National Association of Women Business Owners for their business prowess and commitment to their local communities. NAWBO-Ventura County hosted its annual BRAVO Awards luncheon in mid-May at the Moorpark Country Club.

Camarillo firm to manage museum expansion
      Camarillo project management firm S.L. Leonard & Associates will manage the $12million expansion of the Museum of Ventura County. The new museum is expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors each year, double the current attendance.

New vet clinic
      Valley Veterinary Clinic's charitable nonprofit opened a new low-cost dog and cat spay/neuter clinic last month at 1659 E. Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley. Residents who need financial assistance to get their dogs and cats spayed or neutered can call for an appointment. The clinic will also offer free spay/neuter for wild or stray cats.
