TURNING LEMONS INTO BOOKS—La Mariposa Elementary School third-grader Fallon Price, 9, stands with Sandy Hollister, La Mariposa's librarian, in front of Fallon's lemonade stand at Camarillo High School April 26. Fallon took part in Sunkist's "Take a Stand" program to buy books for her school's library. Through the nationwide program, Sunkist provides lemonade stands to youngsters looking to raise money for their favorite charities. Fallon held her sale, which earned more than $245, during a karate tournament at the high school. Both Fallon and Hollister are members of the Camarillo Shotokan Karate Do Center. More ...
