CHAMPS—The Knights basketball team took first place in the 11th annual March Gladness Basketball Tournament in Corona, Calif., March 26 to 28. The Knights beat the Arizona-based East Valley Athletes for Christ 7674 in the championship game on March 28 with a shot by Drew Sandahl in the final seconds of the game. The Knights' Matt Mergenthal earned tournament MVP honors, and Aaron Roth was named to the all-tournament team.
