      A 24yearold man was arrested March 26 at his Camarillo home for allegedly selling marijuana and Ecstasy to area high school students, police said.

Teacher charged with sending sexually explicit text messages
      A 29yearold teacher at Cornerstone Christian School was arrested March 26 for allegedly sending several sexually explicit text messages to a 16yearold female student, police said. Camarillo resident David Woods was charged with sending communications to a minor with the intent to commit sexual offenses, according to police.

World peace will be discussed
      The Ventura County Interfaith Community will sponsor "World Peace Through Common Values" at 7 p.m. Thurs., April 23 at Temple Ner Ami, 4098 Calle Tesoro, Camarillo. The event will include a discussion of the ways that various religions contribute to world peace. Faiths represented will be Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Latter-day Saints and Quakers.

New members welcome
      The Kiwanis Club of Camarillo is welcoming new members. The group meets from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Round Table Pizza, 800 Arneill Road, Camarillo. The club sponsors school youth programs, an annual 5K/ 10K run and the Camarillo Celtic Fair, as well as providing scholarships to graduating seniors at Adolfo Camarillo, Rio Mesa and Mary B.
