The gift of giving time
      Church pastor and professional musician Chris Hall puts his passion for music and helping others into action every week at the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo. Hall, 46, enjoys teaching young club members how to play the guitar. "But more than anything, I want to build a relationship with them," Hall said.

Frontier High students are a fashionable crew
     WENDY PIERRO/Acorn Newspapers LA MODE—Models stand for a curtain call after participating in a Feb. 20 fashion show at Frontier High School. A combination of students, teachers and Point Mugu military staff walked the runway in African American designs by Camarillo resident Lowell Pumphrey, seated, in the school's fourth annual Black History Fashion Show. The event, sponsored by the peer resources class, is part of the school's celebration of Black History Month.

Soroptimists dress to impress
      Soroptimist International of Camarillo will host a fashion show at 11 a.m. Sat., March 14 at Sterling Hills Golf Club, 901 Sterling Hills Drive, Camarillo. The show will feature styles by Bob Kildee's women's line, Coldwater Creek, Chelie Smith and Harley Davidson. George Thompson Jewelers has donated a door prize.
