Physician earns rare certificate

Dr. Lanyard Dial Dr. Lanyard K. Dial, president and CEO and medical director of Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association, recently passed the American Board of Family Medicine's Hospice and Palliative Medicine Certification exam.

Dial is one of 1,250 physicians nationally who have been awarded the certification.

The certificate recognizes excellence among certified family physicians who emphasize the care of seriously ill and dying patients with life-limiting illnesses.

"It's important to me that our patients and the community know that Livingston is Ventura County's first and most qualified hospice agency," said Dial.
