      When Camarillo High girls' water polo coach Ryan Althoff took over the team for Tawney Safran last summer, the most important thing he wanted to do was let his players have some fun. The Scorpion girls say they are having a good time, but wins have been slow to surface.

Registration for basketball leagues begins next month
      The Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District will conduct registration for its adult spring basketball leagues in February. The 10week leagues are offered Monday through Thursday nights at Monte Vista Gymnasium. Registration for new indistrict teams runs Feb. 23 through Feb. 27, and March 2 through March 4.
