A 41-year-old man was arrested Jan. 12 in the 800 block of Vista Arriago on a charge of domestic battery. Sometime between Jan. 12 and 13, a would-be burglar tried to break into the garage of a home in the 1100 block of Via Montoya. A garage in the 2700 block of Antonio Drive was burglarized sometime between Jan. 12 and 13. The victim reported $10,000 in stolen property. On the same block and during the same time period, two other homeowners reported damage to their garage doors, which someone tried to pry open. A thief stole a personal navigation system from an unlocked car parked in the 900 block of Camarillo Center Drive on Jan. 13. On Jan. 13, three men broke into an apartment in the 500 block of Rosewood Avenue around 4 p.m. While one of the men pointed a gun at the man living in the apartment, the other two men went through the home and stole a computer, a television and golf clubs. The three men then stole the victim's car. Police said the crime likely stemmed from an earlier dispute between the victim and the men. It is believed to be an isolated incident. The car was later found back at the apartment. A 24-year-old woman was arrested Jan. 13 near Arneill Road and E. Daily Drive on suspicion of multiple drug-related offenses and six outstanding warrants stemming from her failure to appear in court to face charges for other drug and driving offenses. A car parked in the 200 block of N. Glenn Drive was burglarized Jan. 13. The victim reported $600 in damage. It was reported Jan. 13 that a vandal caused $25 in damage to the bathroom at the Alliance Gas station, 256 Carmen Drive, on Jan. 10. Vandals used black spray paint to cause less than $400 in damage to a wall at the Arneill Ranch Park sometime between Jan. 13 and 14. Sometime between Jan. 13 and 14, thieves stole about $6,000 in construction equipment from a construction site near Raytheon and Hueneme roads. A $600 car stereo was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 2400 block of Barry Street sometime between Jan. 13 and 14. It was reported Jan. 14 that a 25year-old man was arrested Jan. 10 at the Camarillo Police Station, 3701 E. Las Posas Road, on felony charges of possession of an assault rifle with a large capacity magazine clip. A 23-year-old man was arrested Jan. 14 at the Camarillo Police Station, 3701 E. Las Posas Road, on felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a deadly weapon. The man was allegedly involved in a fight in the 200 block of Glenn Drive when he used a knife to stab a 35-year-old man in the arm. Sometime between Jan. 14 and 15, a car parked near Del Prado at Baja Court was burglarized. About $3,000 in farm equipment was reported stolen from the Vujovich Ranch Company, 860 W. Potrero Road, sometime between Jan. 14 and 15. Thieves siphoned $175 worth of diesel gasoline from a truck parked in the 4100 block of Calle Tesoro sometime between Jan. 14 and 15. A 22-year-old man was arrested Jan. 15 near Woodcreek Road and Lynnwood Drive and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The man was allegedly taking a teenager to a friend's house during school hours. Vandals caused less than $400 in damage to a wall near Arneill Road and Rocklyn Street on Jan. 15. Damage to a wall in the 400 block of Calle La Sombra was also reported during the same time period. A home in the 80 block of Valley Vista Drive was burglarized Jan. 15 sometime between 7:20 and 11:20 a.m. The victim reported a box of jewelry stolen. A 38-year-old man was arrested Jan. 15 in the 60 block of W. Daily Drive for an out-of-county warrant stemming from an earlier arrest on a charge of grand theft. A 23-year-old man was punched and kicked in the face by an unknown assailant in the 2100 block of Pickwick Road on Jan. 16. Vandals caused $150 damage to the sign of a business in the 1000 block of Avenida Acaso on Jan. 16. On Jan. 16, a 50- to 60-year-old man allegedly stole gym equipment from Body Temple Gym, 3316 Maya Linda. When the man was confronted by the gym's co-owner, Adam Pollock, the man, who is wanted by police, allegedly said he was going to kill Pollock with a machine gun he had in his truck. The man then left and drove his car into the gym's rollup garage door, causing $2,000 in damage. The case is under investigation by the Camarillo Police Department. Sometime between Jan. 16 and 17, vandals caused more than $400 in damage by spray painting trash cans and a brick wall maintained by the Los Arboles Homeowners Association in the 100 block of Via Cantilena. Vandals caused less than $400 in damage to the Mira Vista Village apartment complex, 2700 E. Ponderosa Drive, on Jan. 17. Vandals caused more than $400 in damage to Pleasant Valley Park on Jan. 17. Two cars parked in the 600 block of E. Ventura Boulevard were burglarized Jan. 18. City property in the 5500 block of Mission Oaks Boulevard was vandalized on Jan. 18. A 25-year-old man was punched in the face on Jan. 19 while in the 2200 block of Pickwick Drive. A 19-year-old man was arrested Jan. 19 near Santa Rosa Road and Hilltop Lane for allegedly punching another man several times in the face during a fight in the 5000 block of Verdugo Way. Between Jan. 12 and 19, police reported arresting seven people on suspicion of driving without a license or driving with a suspended license. During that same time period, six people were arrested and charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, 15 people were arrested on various drug charges and two people were arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public. |
