Leading Ladies to entertain Republicans
The Camarillo Republican Women Federated Club will hold its monthly luncheon meeting at 11 a.m. Mon., Dec. 15 at Sterling Hills Golf Club, 901 Sterling Hills Drive, Camarillo.
Entertainment will be provided by the Leading Ladies, a Sweet Adelines barbershop group.
Cost is $20 and includes lunch.

Y winter camps
The Camarillo Family YMCA will hold two weeks of winter camp for school-age children. Camps are held from 6:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mon., Dec. 22 to Fri., Dec. 26 and Mon., Dec. 29 to Fri., Jan. 2 at Dos Caminos and Tierra Linda schools.
Camps will include sports, crafts and field trips. Activities are designed to promote character development.
The camps will close at noon on Wed., Dec. 24 and 3 p.m. Wed., Dec. 31. There will be no camp on Thurs., Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
Cost is free for families already enrolled in the YMCA's child care program. For families not enrolled, cost is $130 per week.

Art on display
The Ventura County Arts Council Visual Arts Committee will present "The Big Show" through Tues., Jan. 27 in the atrium lobby of the Hall of Administration at the County Government Center, 800 S. Victoria Ave., Ventura.
The show features paintings by Richard Amend, Christine Beirne, Roxie Ray Bordelon, Stephanie Elise, Pamela Fong, Dorothy Hunter, Karen Lewis, Carole Milton, Michael Pearce, Joe Piasentin, Elisse Pogofsky-Harris and Len Potesman.
Sculptures by Janet Amiri, Theodora Ilowitz, Kathrin RaabQuestenberg and John Storojev will also be on display.
Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The exhibit is closed weekends and holidays.
