Medicare counseling among CHCD offerings
December events start Saturday

The Camarillo Health Care District has announced its upcoming events schedule. All events are held at the district, 3639 E. Las Posas Road, Camarillo. To register for any class, call (805) 388-1952, ext. 100.

A babysitting class for children ages 11 to 15 will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Sat., Dec. 6. Students will learn how to care for infants, toddlers and older children, what to do in emergencies and what is expected of the baby sitter. Cost is $15 for Camarillo and Somis residents, $18 for out-of-area residents.

Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program counselors will be available to counsel Medicare and soontobe Medicare beneficiaries on the Medicare Part D Prescription Plans for 2009 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fri., Dec. 12. Counselors will help attendees determine if their current plan will continue to meet their needs or if a change in plans for 2009 will be necessary. The event is free.
