The power, ingenuity of young minds

TESTING A LEGO ROBOT—Cornerstone Christian School students Nathan Fang, a 9-year-old fourth-grader, left, and Michael Minkoff, a 13-year-old eighth-grader, work together building and programming a small Lego robot during a recent Robot Camp program at the Camarillo Boys & Girls Club. The program is sponsored by the Pleasant Valley Education Foundation and is intended to teach students about engineering and basic computer programming. About 125 students participated in the Robot Camp. On Nov. 1, students will enter their robots in a local competition that will feature various challenges the robots will have to complete.
