St. John's Seminary honors leaders

St. John's Seminary will honor five Catholic leaders at their alumni dinner on Sun., Sept. 21 at St. John's Seminary, 5012 Seminary Road, Camarillo.

Alumni to be honored are Monsignor John C. Hughes from St. Mary Magdalen in Camarillo, Monsignor Richard H. Murray from St. Bernardine of Sienna in Woodland Hills, Bishop Sylvester D. Ryan of the Diocese of Monterey, Monsignor John Sheridan from Our Lady of Malibu and Louis D. Velasquez who serves in the Office of the Vicar for Clergy of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and is a parishioner from St. Dominic's in Bellflower.

The evening will include solemn vespers in the chapel at St. John's, a wine tasting reception, silent auction and a dinner in St. John's refectory.
