Tall ships to drop anchor in CI Harbor
Four-day event to include deck tours, pirate camp
Eight tall ships from around the world will converge on Channel Islands Harbor Thurs., Aug. 7 through Sun., Aug. 10.
The Channel Islands Harbor is the only stop between San Francisco and San Pedro on the American Sail Training Association's Tall Ships Challenge race series.
Community members will be allowed to climb aboard the decks and listen to docent stories. Battle reenactment sails, a pirate camp, tours and educational programs will also be available.
Patrons will be allowed to visit the Ventura County Maritime Museum. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
