Sheriff's Blotter Camarillo Sometime between April 28 and 29, a thief stole all four tires, valued at $1,400, off a car parked in the 4800 block of Adohr Lane. A briefcase was stolen from a car parked in the 90 block of Flora Vista sometime between April 28 and 29. Approximately $400 in property was stolen from a car parked in the 300 block of Manzanita Street sometime between April 28 and 29. The thieves caused $240 in damage to the car. A car parked in the 4300 block of Leatherwood Place was burglarized sometime between April 28 and 29. A case of compact discs was stolen. A 26-year-old man was arrested April 29 in the 100 block of W. Calle La Sombre for allegedly throwing a book through the glass window of an apartment. A 19-year-old man was arrested April 29 in the 800 block of Calle Del Norte on two outstanding warrants, including one for felony vandalism charges. A car parked in the 2300 block of Las Posas Road was burglarized April 29. The suspect damaged the car's ignition so that it was unable to start. A 26-year-old man was arrested April 29 near the intersection of Ponderosa Road and Calle La Roda on vandalism charges. A truck delivering merchandise to the Coach Outlet store, 900 Camarillo Center Drive, was burglarized April 30. According to police reports, detectives are still collecting an inventory of the missing merchandise. A 39-year-old woman was arrested April 29 at Integrity Biosolutions, 820 Calle Plano, for allegedly hitting another employee on Sept. 11, 2007. A 32-year-old man was arrested May 1 in the 5200 block of Mission Oaks Boulevard for allegedly violating a domestic violence restraining order when he yelled at his wife during a child custody exchange. An 18-year-old male was arrested May 1 while driving on Camillar Drive for allegedly being in possession of a stolen car taken from the 2400 block of Las Posas Road. Over $36,800 in property was stolen from an unlocked home in the 1700 block of San Vito Lane on May 1 sometime between 10:15 a.m. and 10:27 a.m. A 16-year-old female student at Frontier High School, 545 Airport Way, was arrested May 1 for allegedly striking the school's principal with her elbows and for throwing a piece of pizza at his face. A 29-year-old man was arrested May 1 for allegedly bringing prescription medicine into the Ventura County jail facility, 500 Eubanks Drive. A burglar cut a hole in the screen door of a home in the 4800 block of Calle Descanso in an attempt to break into the home sometime between May 1 and 3. A 42-year-old man was arrested May 2 for allegedly shoplifting from the Kmart store, 940 Arneill Road. A 24-year-old woman was arrested May 2 in the 600 block of E. Ventura Boulevard on 11 different misdemeanor charges, including multiple drug and probation violation charges. An undisclosed amount of property was stolen from a locked garage in the 1600 block of Old Ranch Road sometime between May 2 and 3. A car parked in the driveway of a home in 2000 block of Morongo Drive was burglarized sometime between May 2 and 3. Douglas Rasp, 21, was arrested May 3 for allegedly using a knife to cut the cheek and the forehead of a 23-year-old man during a confrontation in the alley behind the Take 5 Bar on Pickwick Drive. The victim was taken to St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital, where he received 100 stitches for his wounds. Vandals caused less than $400 in damages to property near the Solano Drive and Calle Dia sometime between May 3 and 4. A woman in the 3900 block of Fortuna Avenue reported a peeping tom looking at her through her bedroom window on May 4 around 11:40 p.m. A 22-year-old woman was arrested May 4 in the 1700 block of Lewis Road for allegedly fighting with a police officer. A 24-year-old woman and her 23-year-old boyfriend were both arrested May 5 in the 200 block of Camarillo Street for allegedly battering each other. A 23-year-old man was arrested May 5 at the Camarillo Police Station, 3701 E. Las Posas Road, for allegedly vandalizing property in the 2800 block of Wendell Street on April 27. Between April 29 and May 5, police reported arresting 19 people for driving without a license or driving with a suspended license. During that same time period, one person was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance, nine people were arrested on various drug charges and two people were arrested for being drunk in public. |
