Free seminar on urinary incontinence

Community Memorial Health System will hold a seminar on advances in the treatment of urinary incontinence in women from 6 to 8 p.m. Tues., May 13 in the eighth-floor Nichols Auditorium at Community Memorial Hospital, 147 Brent Street, Ventura.

The discussion will be led by Patrick Diesfeld, MD, who specializes in obstetrics-gynecology. He will discuss recent advances in medical and surgical treatment, including outpatient treatments.

Urinary incontinence is a common condition, with 40 percent of women in the United States suffering from urine loss, usually as a consequence of childbirth or aging.

Admission is free, but space is limited.
