FUTURE POSSIBILITIES- Rio Mesa High School students, above, from left, sophomore Dennis Castro, 15; senior Antonio Arebalo, 17; and sophomore Jose Duran, 15, learn about fuel cell cars from Oxnard College Auto Technology professor Andrew Cawelti at a Career Day for freshmen at Rio Mesa High School on April 23. Along with help from his freshman students, teacher Carl Melhorn helped organize the event, which included representatives from 27 different career fields and attracted about 450 high school students. Freshman Bryan Garcia, 15, at right, uses a "grip gauge" to test the force of his grip at the Sunrise Physical Therapy Services booth during the event, which was held to help the students begin thinking about a career path and what it takes to land a job in a particular industry.
