Police arrest pair of suspected burglars

While on patrol at about 2 a.m. Monday, sheriff's deputies came upon Alejandro Tayam and Eduardo Mora walking in the vicinity of the 1800 block of Ventura Boulevard in Camarillo. Upon preliminary investigation, the deputies confirmed that both men, residents of Oxnard, were on probation for vandalism.

Continuing their investigation, deputies found both men to be in possession of a police scanner, gloves, a flashlight and several master keys designed to defeat locks. Tayam, 23, and Mora, also 23, were placed under arrest on suspicion of possession of burglary tools.

Deputies later concluded that Tayam and Mora were responsible for burglaries at businesses on Arneill Road and Ventura Boulevard during the night.

Camarillo detectives who assisted with the investigation reported that Tayam and Mora were allegedly responsible for burglarizing two businesses in the Mission Oaks area of Camarillo on April 4.

The men were booked on charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools. Bail for each was set at $50,000.
