Conejo hospice starts young adult support group

Hospice of the Conejo is sponsoring grief support for young adults ages 18 to 26. The group will meet on Wednesday evenings in the human services building, 80 E. Hillcrest Drive, Ste. 204, Thousand Oaks.

Before the new group was formed, ages 18 and above would attend the adult bereavement group, where participation is predominantly made up of 30to 55-year-olds.

Grief support groups offer validation and a place to sort out one's emotions after the loss of a loved one.

There is no charge to participate in the group, which is open to Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Westlake Village and surrounding area residents.
